More than a football club

Our Story

AFC Pegasus has roots stretching back to the early 1970s, beginning with Pegasus Youth in the Colchester Youth League.

​

In 1985, AFC Pegasus was formed and went on to become one of Colchester’s most successful Sunday League sides, winning 64 honours over 30 years.

​

The move to Saturday football in 2018 began a new chapter, bringing youth and senior football together and creating the club we know today.

The Pegasus Pathway

The Pegasus Pathway gives players the opportunity to progress from U6 through youth football and into the senior game, all within one club.

​

Along the way, the focus is on developing as a player, enjoying football, building friendships and being part of the Pegasus community.

More Than Football

AFC Pegasus is built around more than results on the pitch. From players and coaches to volunteers, families and supporters, everyone plays a part in our club.

Our aim is to provide a welcoming environment where players can enjoy the game, develop their ability, build friendships and feel part of the Pegasus family.
